Tom Syson is a highly regarded trumpeter and composer based in the UK. In January 2019, he recorded his 2nd album, ‘Different Coloured Days’ at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The album title is inspired by his experience with anxiety. Tom also has vast experience performing in larger ensembles, having held the lead trumpet chair in the European Radio Jazz Orchestra 2018, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Birmingham Jazz Orchestra, as well as performing with the London Jazz Orchestra, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra.
For this show, Tom will be joined by Tom Barford (Tenor Saxophone), David Ferris (Piano), Pete Hutchison (Double Bass) and Jonathan Silk (Drums).
